This Crazy Thing We Call Life

Life is absolutely and undeniably crazy sometimes. That can be a good crazy, an indifferent crazy, a bad crazy, or sometimes a mix of it all. For me, It's been a good kinda crazy. Like you hear those country songs about living this crazy life to the fullest? Well, that's been me and the whole Sound Castle lately.
For me personally, between being pregnant and work, it's been a busy time. To top it off, I planned, from start to finish, Easter brunch for work for what we thought would be 1,000 guests. That's a huge event to do. It was my boss's idea. She thought after the Women's Christmas Dinner it would be a good idea to train me in-case something like that ever happened again. So, why not the largest event of the year next to Summer Hummer? That seems reasonable right? Well, I'm proud to say it was a smashing success! My parents couldn't make it because of work, but they called as soon as they got home to see how it all went. They were excited for me. The whole event with off without a hitch, and I didn't get stressed out! It was fabulous (insert sing-song voice)! :) Next is the clean up crew for it all, but that shouldn't be to bad. I slept for 14 some odd hours later that day, but what are you to expect?
Author was off to a wedding this weekend, and just got home today in the nick of time to run back off to work. Did I mention she finished at least one book recently? I got to read it and it was a kick in the pants. It's one she may not ever publish but I hold one of the only printed manuscripts. It was a great book, and I can't wait for her latest one to come out. It's a total sci-fi. Now please understand, Author does not write sci-fi at all. She is more of a fantasy writer. I can't wait to see how this one plays out. I shall beg and plead with her and see if I can post at least the general plot of the book. So, stay tuned for more on that. In between her writing, work, and general life, she has been trying to figure out where her next move in life is going to be. Sadly bloggers, we will have to say goodbye to Author here at the Sound Castle, but hopefully not for a couple of months.
Wizard has been dreaming up a storm. He has several decks and ideas running for all kinds of projects. His latest is the home entertainment center he is building from scratch. When I say scratch, I don't mean he is purchasing a new tv, stereo set, and computer. I mean he is building the computer, and the sound system, and has already rebuild the tv from one he picked up at a recycling center. He is quite the genius when it comes to technology. His vintage case (and I mean the kind that would house some of the original computers) is being revamped with all new guts, but maintaining the outer look of the old school computers. It's amazing what he's dreamed up for this little bugger. In the mean time, while that is coming together he is building several decks for cards, including one of mine. It's another project that the two of us have been doing. Mostly him, but as it's my play style versus his, he likes to see how my mind works. Once those two big projects are done and he's "zenned out" Gamer's computer, he will start work on mine. It will be a thing of beauty. I'm hoping to hunt down a black UV reactive case with red sound reactive cold cathodes to rock it out with. Then with the latest and greatest in tech, it will be a sight to behold...and something to lord over all my other guy friends. Bwahahahahaha. I look forward to seeing what my dear mad scientist comes up with next.
Gamer has been rocking with work, and his birthday! A land party and red robin livened it up for him. In his down time, he's been busy keeping me sane, building his own card decks and kicking it with friends. Though what he has up his sleeve nobody knows. Not even me sometimes. Starcraft has been a big thing for him, and gives him time to relax and let the world slip into oblivion. He is so excited for Space Monkey to be here! To be honest, we all are, but him especially. He makes me smile everyday with his antics about Monkey. He can't seem to get enough of cuddling my tummy and beginning to build that bond of daddy/baby. I love it. What would I do without my Gamer? He is so sweet. He makes sure I eat enough, sleep enough, have enough down time to myself, and enough cuddling to make me and baby both feel very loved.
I think that covers everything for the time being. Oh! My garden lives!! For now...though it's looking pretty cool. Well, my bloggers, have a great day, and may life be a good kind of crazy.
