Rainy Days and Beautiful Sunshine

You remember that old saying " April showers bring May flowers?" Well that's certainly the case around here at the Sound Castle. Today the weather can't seem to decide on whether it wants to rain or be sunny. So, it's been a mix of both. Granted, if you don't like the weather of the moment flip a dime and it will change in the space of it. Or you can wait five minutes if the dime doesn't do the trick.
While all of us humans are not loving to bipolar weather, my garden most definitely is. Everything is still alive and kicking bloggers! Yay! Though part of it may be that I finally got them potted and with some really good potting soil. Between that and trying to check on it everyday, rotating which plants are where in the sunlight, and pulling all the dead leafs off the growth might have something to do with it. I am loving the sun, when it comes out, to sit and enjoy in my little patio garden. I don't garden a lot, but I have been enjoying my little piece of heaven this year.
Last year I spent so much time trying to make the inside of the house beautiful and homey I didn't have time or energy to devote any to the outside. So, that's my project for this year. And I must say it's coming along quite nicely. With the lanterns and their candles to the fresh scent of rosemary and lavender, the patio (or porch) is beginning to finally take form into a garden oasis. I still have to get hops to run up the lattice work and the supporting beam of the porch to finish the look, but all in all, it's coming right along. Our chairs are out and the BBQ has been seeing more use as the weather turns warmer and warmer. We look forward to having people out to eat and relax in our little garden. The solar lights light the place up at night while the lanterns soften the glow to a warm campfire feel. You can almost imagine you are tucked in a little fairy garden. Pity such things don't exist. Ah well, such is life.
Well my dears, it's off to go find food. Baby is kicking me and telling me it's time to feed the little munchkin. Have a great day everyone!
