Stress Caught Up

You know the old saying "Your stress will catch up to you?" Mine finally did. And of course it was in the form of laying me flat on m back for the day yesterday. To my knowledge it was food poisoning, but I managed to break my fever and start feeling almost back to normal 5 hours after it started. It had to be the fastest set of sickness in my life. I don't get sick very often but when I do, it's no fun. Gamer stayed home from work and took care of me. Poor guy. In the whole time we have been together, both dating and married, I think he has only seen me this sick maybe twice. Like I said, it doesn't happen often.
Besides getting sick, everything has been no to bad. Work, while stressful, has been beginning to get a flow to it. My director is out until the end of the month, but things seem to be going alright. I just keep right on going. Everyone is helping me out and I'm figuring out how to get stuff done. Well, all the stuff that I don't normally do, I'm learning. It's all stuff I probably should have learned some time ago, but just haven't had the, well, time. We have been so busy and things have been so chaotic, it's hard to sit down and get stuff done. Oh, well.
This evening I have a staff dinner with Gamer, and tomorrow I get to go "party hardy with dad and his trucker friends." I'm excited. I may have been down for the count yesterday, but that never holds me down for long. I hate being sick so I don't let it take over for very long. Dad's staff Christmas party is tomorrow, and with Mom being just out of surgery, I get to be his plus one. Not entirely sure what I am going to wear, but I do know I'm going to rock my heels. I do so love a great pair of heels.
