Days Of Chaos

Man has it been an interesting week. Sunday was lovely. We went to church for the first time in a while and got to meet up with my husband's aunt and uncle there. Afterwards we went to lunch as a family with us, his parents, and his aunt and uncle. They were thrilled to meet little Clay, and play with Sam. It was a really good brunch and conversations. We had a great time.
Monday rolled in with a long list of errands to be done. Which was totally fine, but it meant a lot of running around. We got all the super important things done but halfway through the list my body decided to take a dive. I forgot that I'd only been out of the hospital for less than two weeks. Yeah, probably not my smartest move but at least I was able to be home in 45 minutes, and in bed 5 minutes after that. Josh made dinner, and we had a calmer evening after a day of chaos.
Tuesday was surprisingly calm. Just the normal hick-ups of kids. Which I suppose is not always calm, but we survived the day. Though to be fair we were pretty exhausted. What's new with two kids, one being not even two weeks old. I got more calls back about the family gathering Josh and I are throwing for my extended family to come and meet the baby, hang out, and eat great food.
Wednesday flew by with a couple of little errands, and a fun time going grocery shopping. We started getting ideas for the dinner we are going to make and what we want to serve. Everyone is bringing something to add to the meal, but we are providing the main dinner entree so to say. It should be kicks and giggles!
Thursday literally puked itself up. And by that I mean poor little Sam was sick yet again. She woke up throwing up. I called the doctor, who forgot to get back to me, and did what we usually do. Gatorade, crackers, hot baths, and lots of cuddles between her daddy and I taking shifts. One would wash up and take care of Clay, and the other would cuddle with Sam. Then switch. After two long naps, several crackers, a couple glasses of Gatorade, and an early bedtime, she was back to her old self this morning.
Today is another day of housework and possibly dinner at the in-laws if we aren't to tired by the end of the day. But tomorrow starts the real fun! We get to start decorating for Christmas!!!! I'm so excited. Yes I know it's a week before Thanksgiving, but as we aren't hosting Thanksgiving I'm not worried about it being decorated. However less than two weeks after, I'm hosting for the family for Christmas, so I have to do it early. If it makes you feel any better we aren't getting the tree until after Thanksgiving. And no, H*** no am I going black Friday shopping. Not on your freaking life THANK YOU VERY MUCH! Yeah, I don't do black Friday. Ever. Learned my lesson. However I'll check out the sales online for both black Friday, and for cyber Monday. That's how it's done ladies and gentlemen. Besides, I refuse to support companies that open on Thanksgiving. I'm weird that way. I guess it's something about Thanksgiving being about family and friends and those that are around us. Spending time with the people we love. So, opening shop on thanksgiving so people don't get to hang with the people they love is not ok in my book. Everyone has someone, even if it's a cat or dog. There's always others to look out for as well.So there's my rant for the day.
Well everyone, it's been fun, but it's bed time for the little guy and I. Sam's already out like a light, and Josh is due for some chill time. I've had my cider, and my hot cocoa, and I've got a new book waiting for me. So off I go. Good night, dormi bene, and dormir bien et reve de plaisir.
