A Pantless Summer Day
So I realized today that I thought I had posted a week ago only to realize that it was never actually posted and just a draft. Sorry...I am setting a reminder on my phone for every Tuesday to start posting. Hopefully that will help remind me with everything else going on. It's definitely been busy here that's for sure. Let's see, we had a family day of build a bear and movies, drove to Olympia and Seattle, got stuck at a bridge fire one night until crazy late, had Neemaw (Nana) over for a visit, have a funeral this coming weekend, have to pick up a car, Auntie Lizard the following weekend, and then a formal wedding after that. During the week we try to go to yoga, and swimming lessons, keep the house clean, do laundry, and are in the midst of the worst terrible twos yet. So you know, your average American family.
Oh, Author's birthday was last week, and Josh's mother is next week. Then my dad, his dad, and my mom are shortly after. My parents are going to try to come in September and we are hoping to move at the end of September. So like I said, it's been and will continue to be very busy. But that's no excuse for not keeping up on my blogging. I just have to remember to carve out time to do it. I did manage to get some silver done and it turned out beautifully. I was well pleased.
In addition to the craziness, we are all trying to keep ourselves cool in this raging heat. It's about 97 degrees here right now. Thus the pantless summer day title. We are all pantless in this house right now, and let me tell you...it's delightful. In the comfort of your own home with the blinds closed and the AC on, no pants is a good thing. Top it off with a free iced coffee from my favorite coffee house and tada! It's a good day. Even if the kids are cranky little monsters who needed naps.
We decided to go see daddy at work and drop him off a nice lunch. We don't do that much and haven't since he started his new job here at the roofing supply. It was time to bring him lunch on a hot summer's day. While we were out we stopped at mommy's favorite coffee, and got Sam a smoothie, and mommy a free coffee. I'm not an iced coffee person in the least, but cheers to Wake Up Call Coffee!! I'm a coffee snob as we all know, but holy crap is this the best coffee I've had in forever!!! I don't get to go often but I love, love, love it when I get to. It's so yummy!!!
Anyways, now that I've rambled on for three paragraphs about pretty much nothing, back to the real world. Yes my bloggers, I think a new leaf has been turned over. And while I'm still dealing with issues (as we all always are) I'm doing better than the darker days of earlier this year. My house is staying clean, and even with conflict going on, I am in good spirits most of the time. It helps that I'm starting to feel more at home in my own skin once again. I'm curvy but losing some of the extra non needed. Don't get me wrong, I don't want or need to be a size 2 or even a size 9, but a little less around the belly would be awesome. My mom was proud of how much in my legs and arms I've lost. And honestly, so am I. I've got some rocking legs now!!! (As I sit here eating a burrito that weighs a pound or more. Though to be fair, it will take me roughly three meals to eat. It's a monster.) All in all, things are good. Thanks for hanging in there bloggers. It means the world to me. Happy Pantless Summer Day!!!!
