Mexican, Mole, and Attempted Movies
This morning was all bright and sunny until....oh that's right, I had to wake up. Bummer. Rousing out of bed at an ungodly hour of the morning after last night, and still being sick, I dragged myself up to go make coffee for work. Ran around like a chicken with it's head cut off because my dishwasher didn't actually do his job...again. So help me heaven, I seriously want to teach him like you would a dog. Stick his nose in the gross stuff. That ought to hopefully teach him gross stuff in the sink and on the floor is bad. I have a pet peeve about sticky stuff being left on the floor, and leftover wet food left in the bottom of the sink. EEEEEWWWWW!!!!!!! At least he wasn't there today so I didn't have to deal with him.
When I got home, Gamer was off at a meeting, and then headed to a friend's to watch a football game. American football that is. My personal theory is that it's a bunch of guys running back and forth in spandex on a field kicking an odd shaped ball over a fork. I learned a while ago that they kick the ball over. Originally, I thought they threw it over. Oops. Goes to show how much I pay attention to football. Ask about how to play baseball or basketball and I'm all over it. Then again, that's because I played both when I was a kid. Ask me about any of the teams of either sport and when I look at you with a blank stare don't be surprise. Back to football. Apparently they play 4 quarters, not innings. Hmmmm, what is this madness? (Shakes head while beginning to chuckle) Yup bloggers, that's my version of football.
Scientist and Author headed off to work at 3:30, and I got a little alone time to myself. A rare thing on a good week. Half-Pint gave me a call, and we chatted about his homecoming dance. I was pleased when he said he enjoyed his very first homecoming dance. Go Half-Pint! I'm so proud of you! When Gamer got home, we decide to go out to dinner on a whim. There is this little place just over the hill from us (and yes I do mean just over the hill, we live on the side of one) that is quite delicious. Gamer enjoyed a chalupa, and I settled in to chow down on pollo en mole, also known as chicken doused in spicy chocolate, peanut butter sauce. It's my second favorite meal in all the world, second only to my mom's shepherd's pie. Yummy!!!!!! Just before we left we thought we would hit the theaters to watch a movie. Unfortunately, we are no longer newly weds. By the time we got half way through and decided going home, and taking a nap sounded like a better idea. So, that's exactly what we did. Came home, and crashed. Ahh, it was wonderful.
Well bloggers, it's late and I should head to bed since I'm still not feeling completely up to par. Sleep good world, and all you who are in it and reading our blog. Good Night!
