God Bless Uber Eats

There is one thing that will save a mom in most suburbia areas when she's got a sick kid and needs emergency supplies like Gatorade and juice. UberEats. If I didn't know better I'd say it was invented for that very reason. For a mom who currently has one kid curled up in bed watching Netflix on her kindle (another couple of wonderful inventions) as she's spent the morning throwing up, having a delivery service bring me coffee, juice, Gatorade, and food so I don't have to try to get to the store is a life saver.
A simple to use app that only takes a couple minutes to set up, and allows you access to all kinds of restaurants and even coffee places. They are always adding new places and expanding what you can order. You can choose your favorite places and have them saved right at the top for easy access. Every driver I've ever had has been super sweet and always pretty well on time. You get to rate how the food is, the delivery, and add tips for the drivers all in one swing. For the most part I've had great food, and good service. Once in a great while I've found a place I didn't overly love, but other than one total flop they've all been at minimum decently good.
Need a date but don't have a babysitter? Send the kids to bed, and try UberEats to have your favorite dinner delivered. Add a movie and bam! Date-night-in! Josh and I use it when we need some time to us, but can't get away from the house. And it's a fun way to try different foods while not having that hassle of dragging the little ones out to a restaurant at the last minute. While normally my kids are pretty good in restaurants, once in a while we have a meltdown or two. On days I'd rather not fight them but really don't want to cook, it's a handy option. Also makes for a great treat for the kids on family movie nights. The kids LOVE having panda express while we watch a movie in the living room. I throw down a blanket, get the stuff we need for food set up, pop open the laptop, and we start a movie while we wait for our dinner to arrive. Once it does we pause just long enough to grab the food, and then serve it on the waiting plates. Then it's dinner and a movie! The kids rarely fight me after that when it's time for bed. They know if they are good they will get another movie/dinner night soon. Don't ask why it works because I honestly don't know. It just does.
Now there is the one downside of it can get expensive if done to often. But on those days where nothing else is going to do, it's worth it. Especially with a sick kid.
Well, it's back to taking care of the little ones and trying to catch a nap for myself as I don't feel overly wonderful myself. I have no idea what we got, but it could very well be just needing some down time. We've certainly been busy.
With that I'll sign off and say goodnight!
