Domino's and Sound Castle

Today has been a rather trying day to be sure. One where it takes everything I have just to survive the day. Not live, just survive. So you can imagine that by the time my sweet hubby shows up, I'm pretty well down the drain in the energy department. So when I asked him what he wanted for dinner, I could have given him the world for his answer. "Let's get Domino's."
Please understand we try not to eat out much, and even when we do go out, we try to eat pretty healthy. For example, I like to get salads or steak and Gamer likes chicken, or burgers while Sam loves mac and cheese or any kind of fruit. If we are going to do pizza, we tend to stick to things like Papa Murphy's which is take and bake and far less greasy than most fast food pizza. But occasionally nothing beats Domino's. Especially when locked in a bad mood. At Sound Castle we'd all pitch in to get what we each wanted and then have it delivered right to our door. Something none of us ever had had growing up as we all lived to far out to have delivery pizza. Delivery anything for that matter. Our very first night in the apartment, even before Author moved in, Gamer, Mouse, and I ordered delivery pizza for which we had to use Gamer's smart phone to look up how, and where to order pizza as we had never done it. We didn't even have internet/phone in there yet. We had run to the store to get paper plates, and plastic cups as we didn't have any of that moved in yet. Nothing but a wood checker board and sleeping bags for the night. Giddy as school children when it first snows, we waited impatiently for the driver to show up with our very first pizza delivery order ever. We all sat with our noses pressed to the glass window wondering if we could pick out the car that he'd bring our box of excitement in. Soon, a knock came at the door and we all bolted to it. Handing over the cash for our meal with a tip for the driver, we raced to settle down around our little checker board table on the floor. Yeah, not going to lie. While it might seem ridiculous to some of you, it was one of the highlights of living where we did. We could get delivery.
Every so often after that we would get our Domino's, and every time, we were still as giddy as the first time. We'd still sit down around our little checker board on the floor even though we had an actual table, and we'd feast like kings on our delivery. But the highlight of our order was always the parmesan bites with garlic dipping sauce. Those would be gone in 2 seconds flat, and there were never left overs of them. They were always the perfect way to cheer up anyone who had had a bad day, no matter what time it was.
You can imagine that while we can't get delivery here at Hidden Forest, the thought of Domino's made the night brighter for me. Especially when we ordered parmesan bites with garlic sauce. When Gamer arrived home, we dug in and introduced Sam to an old Sound Castle favorite. And yes, they were just as good as I remembered.
