Baby It's Cold Outside
"But baby it's cold outside..." Yes, yes, yes, I know. It's not Christmas, but here at the Sound Castle the weather is turning to be a little chillier. It's beginning to look a lot like winter. So, for the first time in a while, I got to pull out my warm sweater, and my adorable shrug boots. Black, of course...the boots I mean. Granted the skinny jeans, and top were black too, but have no fear, I always throw a splash of color in. My local-made french-styled scarf of deep teal, I brought the gray and blue out of my eyes and makeup. Yes, I have a thing for fashion. It's just a little one I promise.
With a Greek gyro in one hand and eye out for a good deal, Author and I wandered the farmer's market in search of something we couldn't live without. Considering we have this fabulous little cupcakery right across the street, we headed across and snagged some of the best cupcakes this side of heaven. A cup of coffee in one hand and a box of cupcakes in the other, we headed out to two of my personal favorite shops, World Market, and Pier 1 Imports.
I have been trying to finish the decor in the house so as to have it ready when my parents come to visit the Sound Castle for the first time. One week from today they will be arriving and we shall see what they think of the first house I have decorated. To say my mum is a bit of a decorator would be an understatement. While her and I differ in some areas of decor, we definitely agree on others. I personally love to mix old with the new. It makes life seem brighter to remember the old, but to bring in some new too. I do so love to decorate.
When my side of the family arrives, I plan on showing off my city. With an adorable (and very tasty) coffee shop for a starter, the farmer's market to dazzle, and the cupcakery to sweeten, it's looks to be a great weekend. Thanks to the amazing people Author works with, we got a hotel for them right in downtown and just a block away from everything. Thank you!!!!!!!! Now I get to call my parents and surprise them with a great deal! YAY!!!!!
So, with winter on it's way, and coffee in the pot, The day couldn't get any better...until Gamer gets home and we have cupcakes. Yum! See ya soon!
