Trees, and Other Things
Well bloggers, just 24 more hours until my family arrives at my door. So, in all in a flutter, I head to an appointment, and then get ready for a day of serious house cleaning. With 2 loads of laundry to do (which considering there was about 9 loads just over a week ago), vacuuming, dusting, and touch ups of this and that, I do believe the house will look great. Especially since Gamer and I grabbed that last little decor that the house needed before they get here. Scientist and I put it up the night before last and it looks quite adorable.
In our house we have a thing for forest colors. Chocolate brown, beige, greens, and splashes of this, that and the other, including reds, yellows, and even a tiny dash of blue, though blue is very tucked away. We have a wall applique tree of all chocolate brown that we had put up on the screens that block out Author's bedroom. It has little mirrors formed like leaves tossed about with the chocolate brown leaves that make up the rest of the tree. Our latest addition to the house though was not down entirely in brown. In fact, it as an array of colors that from teal green to a light lilac to even a deep russet red. With it's curly ques, brightly colored leaves, and mirrored butterflies we added, it finishes the dining room in a whimsical reminder of Wonderland. As we also have a thing for fairy tales in the the house, Nikko, and Ramen (2 of our dragons) add a touch of color as they seem to fly into the tree in the living room. So, with the walls decorated in mirrors, and colors, we get ready for the next phase of the house. Organizing.
I am the type of person that prefers to have things mostly organized. No I'm not entirely OCD, but just a little. I love to have my fridge and pantry organized, and clean, because otherwise, I seem to be as blind as a bat when I try to find something. Not only that but also when they aren't organized, I can't even make sense of what I want to eat, so I just skip dinner instead. Having low blood sugar, that's probably not the smartest idea on the planet. Between that and touching up the rest of the house, my day will be filled to the brim. Well, at least I won't have to clean tomorrow...hopefully.
Well all my dear bloggers, it's time for me to sign off for the day. If you don't hear form me in the Sound Castle, it's because I have family over. I will write no later than Sunday evening and tell you all how it went. In the mean time, tell me about what you are up to and what your gearing up to do this weekend. See ya all soon!
