What a Wonderful World

So as I begin this post I have company on their way, but the song "Somewhere Over the Rainbow/What a Wonderful World" came on and it made me pause. While I'm not stressing about the company, the house, the food, or any of that, I found myself needing to pause just for a moment to take in the world around me. Yes, the house isn't perfect, and the food will be awesome, but I still was overthinking it. But stopping to watch my little girl steal a pillow off the couch to put it in her own chair, or hiding in her cupboard, trying to take on the one step that is hers, and running around while pushing her quad. Those are the things that I would miss if I wasn't paying attention. Or the fact that she gets a tiny bump and then she comes running to mama and tucking her head into me as I stand and hold her. Hearing her call out for mama, and Bapa, and Nana, and "Daddy!" one of her favorites. These are the little things that make the world wonderful. So the next time you are having a bad day, stop and look around you. Pause to see the grass, feel the breeze, and listen to the birds. You'll see what a wonderful world it truly is.
I know today is short, but like I said, company. So, I shall sign off for today, but may you see the wonderful world, and may life be sweet. No matter the circumstances you have.
