I am in awe bloggers. How is it that so many of you want to read this quirky little blog about the odd stuff in life? It will never cease to amaze me. Perhaps it's time to tell you all why I started this blog.
I was originally inspired by Author. She had come home from a writer's conference, and had been inspired to start one. So, I thought "What the heck, why not have a place to write down all of my random thoughts and things going on in life?" I never believed when I got 5 hits. Then it started getting 6, 7, 8 everyday. Next thing I knew it was getting hits from all over the world. And then it was hitting 15, 20 hits a day. I kept writing, thinking this was a blast, and fun to see how many hits, and where they were coming from. Now, everyday when I check I find 40 to 50, and sometimes even 60 hits. That's so far beyond what attention I thought this little blog would ever get. I thank you all from the bottom of my heart. How you found me, or why you continue to read my ramblings is something I don't believe I will ever fully understand. I'm just a little country mouse in a big world. So, Thank You! I look forward to watching it grow more and more. It's something I love, and will continue for many years to come. Well, since you seem to like reading about what happens here at the Sound Castle, I suppose I should fill you in. ;)
Tomorrow is Thanksgiving as we all know. But do we all have even just one thing to be thankful for. I think so, even if it is simply the breath in our lungs. For me I am grateful for my family and friends. Now that may sound cheesy, but to me it's anything but. Growing up life was not always easy, but my little brother made it so that even when things were horrible, I could bear it. My parents taught me about loyalty, and standing up for what you know is right. My friends kept me from losing my mind at times. When I went to college and met Author, she taught me that life was worth living, not losing. Later when I moved in with her and her family, they taught me that I could love again, and how to love. It was, and is, a concept I don't understand very well. Many times it hurt to much to truly love, but they made me realize that life is not worth living if you aren't willing to take the risk to love. Scientist saved me in more ways than I care to count in just one summer. He has been there for me ever since. Gamer, well, Gamer taught me what love meant in a real living relationship. He taught me what emotion was, and how to show it properly. He showed me it is ok to cry, to be upset, to show my excitement. It was something I had never learned in my life. My in-laws showed me that not all in-laws are scary. In fact, they are pretty darn awesome, even when I screw up royally. Me? Well, I've learned that I am who I am. I'm an old hollywood girl, mixed with a country mouse, who loves deeply, laughs often, and lives life to the fullest.
