Good Morning Bloggers!
"Good morning, good morning, it's great to stay up late, good morning, good morning to you." Ever hear this little wake up song? If not, hear's another one for you. "Good morning to you, good morning to you, we're all in our places with bright shining faces, good morning to you, good morning to you." No? Ok, how about this one. A classic VeggieTales song. "Good morning George, how are you? I hope your feeling fine, I'd love to stay and talk but it's almost 8 o'clock and I haven't got the time." Ahh, one you remember! Oh good, good. I do so love a good song in the morning. Then again, I love music in general.
Music is a passion of mine that very rarely gets let out of the closet. I have a healthy appreciation for music as I used to play brass. For those of you who don't speak instruments, brass is known as the instruments that were made of brass. Trumpets, trombones, and tubas are all good examples of brass. There's something about the sound of a trumpet playing jazz that just sends tingles to my toes. That gentle swing, and sassy sound just makes you feel like you are in a 20s speakeasy with flappers, and suits. Ahh, what I wouldn't give to have been able to be a part of those. Or, at least have been able to spend some time in a few.
Then of course there's the classic 50s clubs with big band music and singers like Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra, and Doris Day. And who could forget the Andrews sisters? Yes ladies and gentlemen, I'm am an old Hollywood. Then again, you can't beat the oldies. That's why they are oldies, but goodies.
That's not to say I don't enjoy my fair share of more modern music. I love P!nk, Bruno Mars, Monsters and Men, Mumford and Sons, Muse, and OneRepublic. Though Celtic Thunder, and Celtic Woman hold high merits in my book of favorites. Bands like, Coldplay, Tool, Carbon Leaf, and Gaslight Anthem are fun too. The classics like Mozart, Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, and Bach are great for those days where nothing but mellow will do. Granted even they are not always mellow themselves. To have had the pleasure of meeting any of them would have been incredible.
What about you bloggers? What are some of your passions in life? What drives you in a way nothing else can? For me, it's music, but what is your driving force, and soothing relaxation? Well, it's off with me for the day. Even though it's taken me 2 days to write this post simply because I got half way through and had to leave for work, then fell asleep. So, here's the combined post from both yesterday and today.
Goodbye!
