Halloween at the Sound Castle

Yup, yesterday was that time of year again. The time of year when you pull out all those itchy costumes, and greasy face paint. Just kidding. Not all the costumes are itchy (though I'm sure there are some) and not all the face paint is greasy, but it can be hard to get off. Here at Sound Castle we dressed up, and headed out for dinner and a movie. Ender's Game and Applebees to be specific. Both were wonderful. Author was in a full evening gown, white mask, and rhinestone tiara to turn her into the perfect princess. She stayed warm in her black cape which looked awesome over her deep blue dress. Scientist was, well, a mad scientist. Armed with a lab coat, glasses, and some frizzy hair, he looked the part to be sure. Gamer was debonair in his classy vampire costume, right down to his waistcoat, and cravat. Yup, even did the touch of mascara and eye liner to make him look a little mysterious. Surprisingly the make up made him look even more manly, rather than feminine. Lastly, but certainly not least, this little mouse was in full flare with rocking red high heels, black skinny jeans and top, and red cape billowing behind. You got it, Little Red Riding Hood it was. With black eye liner I created vines tipped with red roses on the ends of my eyes. Not going to lie, it looked amazing!
Dinner was super yummy, and the movie was fantastic. If you get a chance, go see Ender's Game. Be warned, it's emotionally draining. Ok, well, it was for us. Then again, we have all been crazy tired. Things around the house have been busy, and at time tense. More just because we all feel like we are walking on egg shells with one another.
As the rain continues, and we get a spot of sunshine now and then, the warm fire, and hot coffees have been a life saver for us all. A cup of coffee, a good book, and a clean house always makes me feel so much better. That's why I spent the day cleaning house, and now blogging. By the way, I really haven't forgotten about you guys, I've just been so busy with everything, I haven't had time to even really think on what to post. I think sometimes we get so caught up in our every day lives, we forget to take time for us. Well, I hope things settle a little.
